NANDA SOOBBEN was the only cartoonist of colour to be drawing for the mainstream press during the Apartheid era. He would go on to found a design school and encourage many young black artists to become cartoonists. Nanda still draws cartoons when time permits. This 2010 cartoon remembers what motivated FW de Klerk's great vision twenty years earlier.
